SWEET MINERALS 4187 - To provide those minerals, vitamins and amino acids required by the adult horse above those provided by adequate amounts of forage for the maintenance of good health and immunity from disease. The long term ramifications of feeding a measured amount of major and trace minerals, vitamins and essential amino acids are enormous . Infinitely more problems are encountered by those horses that are for one reason or another not receiving adequate levels on a regular basis as opposed to those that do. GOLDENMEAL 5104 - When included in a diet consisting mainly of roughage (fibrous material) Goldenmeal 5104 will positively contribute to muscle tone and haircoat appearance, when fed with added grain and adequate roughage, it completes the energy balance that will provide extra weight and condition and makes a positive contribution to sustained racing performance. Goldenmeal has a soothing effect on the digestive system improving the intestinal mucous protective lining and gut tensile strength of the stomach, reducing the risk of necrotic enteritis and ulcers. Goldenmeal provides an osmolyte accumulation in the cells that attracts water allowing the horse to maintain water balance in a more energy-efficient way this means that the horse uses less energy to maintain its water balance and more energy for growth and healthy cell creation. Goldenmeal is a source of lecithin the important component of cell membranes, tissue repair and immune response functions. It is ideal for all horses of all ages enabling them to undergo the rigours of training more easily and allowing the well fed and looked after horse to remain active for longer. Helps increase the entire diet assimilation, nutrient absorption and utilisation. Of particular value when horses and ponies are being fed plentifully but it is not resulting in the desired effect. C20 - A 20% Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) fluid, that in a distinct all be it small, number of horses and ponies helps stop non-parasite itching and is sometimes prescribed by veterinarians following viral infection. It is generally accepted that with the exception of Humans, Primates and Guinea pigs, mammals synthesise their own Vitamin C and dietary vitamin C supplementation is not necessary. Experimental work on supplementing the diet of horses with Vitamin C is very small as it is felt that in general horses can provide for all their needs themselves however many owners and trainers feel that certain individuals benefit from a small amount of supplementation these include hard - to - breed mares and certain families that exhibit a tendency to itch. Certain undefined horses and ponies may not synthesise enough due to stress, high performance or something interfering with Vitamin C synthesis. Feed at 25ml per day for every 5000mg per day of Vitamin C. At 25ml 1Lt will last 40 Days. 1lt costs approx £30.55*

VN10 - For feeding for 40 days after service especially to valuable mares where there may be a record of re-absorption is suspected. See other references to VN10 Feed 30 to 40ml/Day. 1lt costs approx £37.60*

TPGS SUPPLEMENT 5110 - A source of TPGS (water soluble Vitamin E) to help reduce cell leakage and subsequent muscle stiffness, muscle fatigue, metabolically connected mal-conditions and tying up problems in the horse. TPGS SUPPLEMENT 5110 CONTAINS A SOURCE OF TPGS pioneered by Eastman Kodak for human application in situations where fat soluble Vitamin E cannot be easily absorbed and is particularly relevant to the horse which along with the Elephant and Black Rhino produces bile with a different composition to humans and other mammals. Absorption of vitamin E in these species is very inefficient and TPGS allows Vitamin E to be readily absorbed into the blood and distributed to the tissues. The main advantage of TPGS SUPPLEMENT 5110 over both natural vitamin E (d-alpha-Tocopherol or d-alpha-Tocopherol acetate) and synthetic vitamin E (dl-alpha-tocopherol acetate) is the extent and rate of absorption. After 5 days of supplementation of TPGS SUPPLEMENT 5110 Vitamin E levels in the blood is almost three times higher than if either synthetic or natural vitamin E had been fed. This is due in large part to the active ingredient, TPGS, research has shown that synthetic vitamin E is not well absorbed under any conditions and that natural vitamin E can provide good levels of alpha-tocopherol in the blood, but it may take 30 days to accomplish this.Feed 135g twice per day. 8Kg will last 30 Days. 8 Kg costs approx £54.88*

MSM - For helping disperse inflammatory build up and open healing process pathways. A major help in all stiffness and arthritis problems. Feed one 25 ml Spoon per day which is 20g. 1kg will last 50 Days. 1kg costs approx £48.60*

BELGIUM FORMULA - The recommended ratio of 2 parts of MSM to 1 part of Glucosamine in pure form for soft tissue and joint injuries and stiffness. Feed one 25 ml Spoon per day which is 24g. 1kg will last 40 Days. 1kg costs approx £46.20*

STRIDE B - A unique blend where the "Cope" formula is added to Belgium Formula. For Osteoarthritis and other inflammatory joint diseases. Use when Belgium formula is not being so effective. Feed one spoonful twice per day. 1 Kg will last approximately 28 days. 1kg costs approx £50.40*

STRIDE 83 - An alterative for those horses who will not eat Stride B. This is Belgium Formula with an alternative additional arthritis formula for maintaining overall fluidity of movement in performance horses. Important for torn ligaments. COPE - An Ayurvedic arthritis formula that promotes collagenation and epithelisation, accelerates the healing process and checks the inflammatory processes by protecting vascular integrity. Acts as an adjunct to prescribed treatments for horses and ponies with pedal osteitis and sesamoiditis. Cope and Belgium Formula is Stride B. Feed one spoonful per day or two if things are really bad. 1 Kg will last approximately 56 Days. 1kg costs approx £50.10*

QBS - A liquid anti-inflammatory arthritis supplement and mild analgesic for feeding as the sole specific for maintaining mobility or in combination with Belgium Formula. Feed 25ml Twice per day. 1 Lt will last 20 Days. 1lt costs approx £49.90*

TENDERFOOT 80 - The complete formula for the integrity, growth and appearance of hooves that have not shown improvement despite the feeding of proprietary hoof quality promoting feeds and supplements. Contains the famous 26 element natural rock flow (Schindele's) which effects excellent hoof quality (production of scleroproteins -"hard protein") and a consistent level of general well being in horses. Tenderfoot 80 is beneficial to the whole constitution of the horse at all stages of life, reproduction, development and performance. - Feed two Spoonfuls twice per day. 4 Kg will last approximately 45 Days. 4kg costs approx £70.70*

FORMULA 4161 - A concentrated supplement containing the extra trace elements, micro-nutrients and amino acids required for remedial hoof growth and strength. FORMULA 4161 + MAGLYTE - Provides extra mg when also needed with the extra micronutrients for an improvement of hoof growth and quality. Feed three 25ml Spoons per day . 3 Kg will last approx 45 Days. 3kg costs approx £65.20*

TENDONITE - For feeding to horses and ponies recovering from a pulled tendon to ensure the healed tissue is strong and elastic and it not so likely to ‘go again’, also beneficial to horses with early diagnosed Navicular. Feed two well rounded spoonfuls twice per day. 3 kg will last 50 Days at a cost of approx £92.58*

L94 - Feed as soon as possible following the first signs of footiness or raised digital pulse and continue for 10 days either in feed or drenched. L94 helps to maintain stable gut flora by increasing salivation and buffering against sudden changes in pH so limiting gastric trauma which in turn leads to unacceptable levels of cell wall debris entering the blood stream and causing endotoxaemia which in turn creates a rise in venal restrictors which can result an arterial shunt that will bring on laminitis. In turn L94 helps maintain hepatic function during overload thus helping increase the deaminisation of surplus protein and helps voidance of toxins avoiding metabolic stagnation or congestion. Finally as a 'long stop' Founderfrei or P45 helps to gently cleanse the blood should substantial liver by-pass of toxins occur thus helping to curtail the domino effect that results in laminitis. Feed 50ml twice per day 1 Lt will last 10 Days if a second bottle is needed feed at 50ml per day for a further 20 days. 1lt costs approx £33.40*

P45 - For the prevention of acute and low grade Laminitis introduce after feeding L94 and feed on a daily basis. Laminitis is brought about by abrupt changes in the diet, by sudden unaccustomed concussive exercise and rapid changes in climate conditions. It can also follow shock and can often be traced back to a particular trauma. It can also be brought on by inappropriate hormonal surges as in Cushing’s disease. The most common reasons why it should occur due to feeding is when the constitution of the diet suddenly changes – when grazing is affected by rain after a dry spell or by frost, a roughage change, a sudden increase in availability or when the balance of the individual parts of the diet suddenly alter. Such incidences cannot always be foreseen, however if they can it is suggested that the P45 be doubled in the three or four days proceeding such events and continued for another three to four days after especially with those horses and ponies known to be especially prone to Laminitis. Feed 25ml per feed twice daily as a good prophylactic doubling this quantity for a period should a trauma occur that is likely to set laminitis off. 2lt costs approx £44.10* Further information can be found in the Data Sheets pages

FOUNDERFREI- A powder for feeding to horses and ponies that are prone to laminitis. Founderfrei may be fed on a continual basis. Feed Founderfrei in conjunction with the judicious management of the total diet and with the minimum of stress. Introduce following L94 on a daily basis. Feed one spoonful (18g) per feed twice daily. At two spoons per day 1 Kg will last 26 days. 1kg costs approx £44.10*

A24 - BLACK GOLD - For whole body health and fitness with much less likelihood of laminitis especially when dietary Mg levels are already attended to. Helps the motor and secretory functions of the alimentary tract and hepatic and renal function. Provides demulcent and emollient support to the digestion of horses that are diagnosed or suspected of having gastrointestinal ulcers. Curbs cribbing & windsucking. For Laminitis feeding A24 is similar to feeding L94 on a longer term basis. Feeding A24 in conjunction with MAGFLUID is similar to feeding P45. Feed at 25ml per feed twice daily. VN10 - Formulated to help stabilise metabolic function at risk from random ACT hormone surges which are characteristic of Cushings and improves the overall quality of life. Helps in the early stages of Cushings and also later when horses are receiving prescribed drugs for the condition. Works well with MAGFLUID. For other uses of VN10 please see entries in other lists. Feed 15ml per feed twice daily. One Lt will last approximately 33 days. 1lt costs approx £35.90*

MAGFLUID - The preferred form of Mg for horses and ponies suffering from Cushings. A prophylactic for laminitis is included in P45) Can be fed with VN10. For other uses of MAGFLUID please see entries in other lists. Feed 25ml mixed into the feed twice per day. 2 Lt will last 40 Days. 2lt costs approx £30.70*

G25 DIGÉSTIF - For feeding to horses and ponies that are prone to colic, intestinal discomfort, gastric disturbance and acidosis. Suitable for all horses on an occasional or regular basis. For feeding to horses with gassy digestion and prone to tympany & distension. For feeding to horses that are prone to crib biting or have recently started windsucking. A Gastrocare formula to help support the secretion of digestive juices, regulate appetite and maintain healthy gastric function. Of help in the bioavailability of the total diet by promoting rapid absorption from the gastrointestinal tract, cleaning gut filters and smoothing elimination of toxins and waste products. Enhances intestinal healing and helps prevent lesions and stomach ulcers. Feed when horses are dung or soil eating. Feed at 25ml per feed twice daily – thrice daily if necessary. One Lt will last 20 Days. 1lt costs approx 31.33*

WESTERN SALTS - To help maintain freedom from constipation and a precautionary for all gut problems. Optimises peristaltic action, digestion, gut function and contributes to electrolyte balance. Horses that quickly dehydrate and have a tendency towards their droppings being hard and over segmented. A regular ongoing feed for horses prone to colic, including sand colic and intestinal upsets especially in hot dry climates. Feeding Western Salts regularly is the first precaution that can be taken against the occurrence of Laminitis and if fed every day can well be the only precaution against the problem, stopping the problem developing into a situation where other measures have to be taken. 3kg costs approx £24.60*

NORMINAL 2 - For feeding when dropping are loose due to stress caused by hierarchy, excitement, anticipation and gut tension as opposed to any pathological problem. Feed 25ml once or twice per day. One Lt will last 40 to 20 days. 1lt costs approx £39.40*

L94 - Feed as a general ' Pick- me- up' when horses are not 'quite right and at the commencement of training and at any time when necessary during training and competition for a period of 10 days or more. There is not a situation where L94 does not does help. The liver is the body’s main chemical processing plant and most of the blood arrives at the liver direct from the intestines via the portal vein, it is heavily laden with nutrients and with a daily delivery of dietary toxic substances including the debris from medicines and antibiotics when horses are being treated, with any changes occurring the burden of processing huge quantities of the cell walls of dead bacteria increases (as in Laminitis) so the liver has to work even harder at a time when health state is still fragile. Feed L94 for a few days before and for a few days after worming and feed immediately following tying up and in cases of diagnosed anaemia. 1 Litre will last 10 days . 1lt costs approx £33.40*

HYDROBASE - For feeding to horses that are "off form," lethargic and aggravated horses with little long term energy. For feeding to performance horses to regain/maintain optimum cellular integrity and the re-establishment of water balance and muscular fluidity especially during times of mental and physical stress. For feeding to horses that are sensitive to touch, tight or sore in the muscle, that tie up, are grumpy and spook easily. For feeding to horses that avidly devour wood. Feed one spoonful twice or thrice per day. At two spoons per day 1 Kg will last 21 Days. 1kg costs approx £30.40*

REXFLO – Feed any time when it is thought REXFLO will help. No harm can come by it and feeding REXFLO very often stops secondary and tertiary problems occurring such as Muscle stiffness and tying up Lethargy Excess urination Uncharacteristic behaviour Non-parasitic itching Fence or wood eating Poor appearance despite care and attention.

Next to oxygen and water, Potassium is the next most fundamental element for life. The main source of Potassium for the horse is derived from plentiful supplies of green grass and adequate daily amounts of well preserved forage made from immature vegetation and if such feeds are constantly provided for easy consumption over the course of the day then provision should be adequate. However K should not be taken for granted, Cellular K status may not always reflect calculated daily dietary intake as a significant portion of K must be excreted in urine all the time and elimination of excess K does not immediately reduce if dietary potassium intake happens to drops due to changes occurring. K levels are very quickly affected by stress; a rise in Cortisol (Flight & Fight) sucks K out of the system dilating all the channels in the body, this applies to both athletic and non-athletic stress. Change of routine, worry, anguish, agitation can quickly lead to a negative Potassium status. Diuretics, medical treatments, all forms of interference and mal-conditions also results in sudden K loss and oxidative stress can lead to PKD (Progressive Potassium depletion) in performance horses. K levels are also affected by dietary Mg insufficiency, through perspiration, diuretics, thyroid activity etc and once serious cellular imbalance occurs it can be 6 weeks or longer before it is satisfactorily resolved. The feeding of REXFLO following trauma and when it is first felt that a horse is not quite right can often offset a great deal of problems. Feed 25ml per feed twice or thrice per day. At two spoons per day 2 Lts will last 40 Days. 2 Lts costs approx £28.00* Special Note: If K is insufficient even for parts of the day the adequacy or indeed attempted excess of all other minerals and vitamin is of no avail. All minerals needed for life are dependant on Potassium sufficiency and Potassium utilisation is dependant on all the other minerals so a unique association exist between K and all other minerals. Such an association can be likened to the relationship between a King and all his courtiers, the King needs the help of his courtiers and the courtiers are powerless without the King.

K- LYTE - Feed when a source of Potassium is required and adequate Mg is already being fed (otherwise feed Hydrobase). Potassium status is not always to do with dietary potassium levels as a significant portion of K is excreted in urine every day and this elimination does not immediately reduce if dietary potassium happens to drop due to changes occurring. K levels are also affected by Mg loss, through perspiration, diuretics, thyroid activity and other factors which can all lead to PKD (Progressive Potassium Depletion) which causes lethargy and horses to be "off form. Feeding K-Lyte or Hydrobase (K and Mg) helps get potassium back into the cells (it is easy to get K into urine, much more difficult to get it back into the cells) Feed one spoonful twice or thrice per day. At two spoons per day 1 Kg will last 21 Days. 1kg costs approx £27.00*

HYDROBASE T - Hydrobase with the addition of L-Glutamine for the avoidance of tying up in horses that develop Rhabdomyolysis (the rapid breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue) due to cellular calcium retention and are always liable to tie up. Feed one spoonful twice or thrice per day. At two spoons per day 1 Kg will last 21 Days. 1kg costs approx £30.20*

TRAVEL MIXTURE - Feed for five days before travelling - during transportation. Whilst away from home stables continue to feed everyday with the regular feed. Travel Mixture may be fed on a continual basis if necessary. Feed to new arrivals to the yard for a period of 10 day and to those horses recovering from tying up (with L94) and to lethargic horses. Feed in preparation for an endurance rides then during the ride and in the two feeds following switch to Trinity Ten-Four-G (Na based electrolyte) Feed a spoonful twice or thrice per day. - 1 Kg will span approx 3 events. 1kg costs approx £32.40*

RACEBACK - Speeds restoration of normal white and red cell counts following a viral infection and is a power source for the immune system. For horses that are abnormally tired and are generally run down. To directly and indirectly improve white cell ratios and the quality and proliferation of red corpuscles and haemoglobin to result in more stamina and resistance to disease. Incorporates and has excellent Probiotic properties Can be used as a ‘Prior-to-performance' supplement to increase stamina. Suitable for all horses of any age and type including breeding stock. May be fed with TPGS-5 and R44 to help modify the immune system when necessary and Hydrobase and L94 as a pick-me-up. Feed one Spoonful thrice per day for at least 20 days - 1 Kg per horse. 1kg costs approx £65.00*

R44 - To help stimulate/regulate the horse's immunity, strengthening macrophage activity. Can be fed to all Equines including breeding stock, youngstock and competition horses. Feed this effective Echinacea & Tinospora extract formula whenever the bodies defence mechanisms require stimulating. Introduce as soon as possible at the start of a respiratory problem or when under viral challenge. When feeding Echinacea it is important to feed it at the right quantity and at the right strength to avoid encountering disappointment. R44 may be used in conjunction with L94 and RACEBACK. Feed R44 25ml twice or if necessary thrice per day for at least 14 days - 1 LT will last 20 days at 50ml per day and 14 days at 75 ml per day. 1LT costs approx £66.33*

GOLDENMEAL 4105 - To provide extra concentrated calories for regaining/maintaining muscle, condition, good haircoat and general well being and performance whilst not upsetting digestion or changing temperament. W14 - EQUISETTE - For horses that are recovering from internal and external injury, bruising and when healing is important. A remineraliser. PROBIOTIC PREVENT- For helping to establish favourable gut flora following a set back and following antibiotic treatment. 1 Kg will last 28 days at one spoonful per day. 1kg costs approx £17.70*

TEN-FOUR-G - Electrolyte to prevent dehydration and the restoration of optimum electrolyte balance and osmotic pressure with 10% L-Glutamine to power energy and immunity responses. BLOOD POWDER - A haematinic to directly and indirectly improve the quantity and quality of red blood corpuscles and haemoglobin resulting in more energy supply and resistance to disease. Feed as a single support for anaemia or in conjunction with L94 or A24 BLACK GOLD Can be fed to all Equines including breeding stock, youngstock and performance horses.
