The classic picture
is of excruciating, sudden,
unexpected, burning pain accompanied by
swelling, redness, heat & stiffness of the affected joint.
A low-grade fever may also be prevalent. There is

metabolism in which production of uric acid is increased. Gout is caused by
excess alcohol, meat or starchy foods without adequate fresh vegetables and
fruit. Alcohol increases the synthesis of
uric acid and inhibits its excretion, high beer intake is also a major trigger.
