Sweet Minerals

A major mineral, vitamin and trace element complementary feed for Equines.

To provide the essential minerals & vitamins required to help support good health, efficient digestion, strong bone growth and immunity to disease, good skin, hooves and general tissue repair. To make up for mineral and vitamin deficiencies in the roughage. The inclusion of Shilajit in Sweet Minerals helps to increase nutrient utilisation and is significant in helping in maintaining mobility and renal function and is a super bi-directional antioxidant that if it encounters free radicals with unpaired positive electrons, it supplies an equal and opposite negative charge to neutralize the bad effects of the free radicals. Likewise, if the free radicals carry a negative charge, it can supply positive unpaired electrons to nullify that charge.

The development and maintenance of strong bone and muscle are dependant upon them along with good resistance to disease and the ability to replenish and when necessary heal tissue and membrane. A good proportion of the  horse's requirement for minerals and vitamins is for life itself irrespective of work so it is therefore good practise to ensure that a regular quantity is fed every day.

TYPICAL RATION USING Sweet Minerals for the 500 Kg BW HORSE (adjust for bodyweight and need of the individual)

Proof of the pudding is in the eating and no amount of explanation can suffice, however to help those Horse owner that are interested or are of a mind to feed Sweet Minerals these notes are extra to the Statutory Notification which accompanies each delivery.

The importance of minerals to horses cannot be overstated, they are integral to life itself and good health and contentment is much dependant on them. The horse has evolved so that what it eats supports it, should that not be the case the horse would not be with us today, therefore the minerals contained within such a diet must by and large also be adequate, however along the way man became interlinked with the horse’s destiny and to a great extent took on the mantle of responsibility for its feeding and pretty early on realised that horses thrived better on certain pastures and on certain soils and although it was important their health, well being and performance was not necessarily dependant  just on abundance but on other things besides. These “other things” included the richness of the feed in minerals. Every race or culture that has ever used the horse has quickly understood this, albeit, unknowingly and sought to provide minerals for their horses by herding them periodically to sweeter pastures, letting them return to consume soil in certain special places or gathering forage and other materials along riverbanks or from the shoreline

Sweet Minerals are made up of those things that horses, and other animals, seek out and thrive on and in doing so horses live longer with fewer ailments and improved presence and appearance. Sweet Minerals rehabilitates the metabolism of a horse receiving them for the first time and maintains such changes for those horses fed Sweet Minerals regularly without fading. They have a profound effect on general health and well being for horses of all ages, helping with the ever development of muscle, bone, nerve, hoof and performance and in Older horses Sweet Minerals help with degenerative problems and anti-aging.

The list of benefits exceeds the space allotted for these notes; suffice to say that every common problem encountered by horses is helped by their feeding and many uncommon problems as well. This is not just because of the available elemental contribution of Sweet Minerals, important as they are; it is also down to the presence in Sweet Minerals of humic substances that contain in Fulvic acid. It is this that is such a panacea, helping with mind, strength, immunity, circulation, digestion and elimination a substance that helps all the nutrition available in the diet to be better utilised as it does in the very basement of life, the symbiosis between plant and soil. It is Fulvic acid that soil bacteria, on receiving energy via the roots of plants, use to break down minerals from the soil for plants to take up in ironic form.

There are many effective specifics that can be used to help cure the problems that horses have when they occur. Feeding Sweet Minerals is a way to prevent them happening in the first place.

 THE ACTION OF Sweet Minerals

Individual cells when properly nourished, produce their own amino acids, enzymes, and other factors necessary for all metabolic processes.  Each cell, in addition to other processes, burns its own energy, maintains itself, manufactures its own enzymes, creates its own proteins, and duplicates itself. Health and well-being is determined by the sum of the metabolic operations carried on in each individual cell. At least 90 growth and maintenance nutrients must be continuously supplied to the body to sustain healthy cells.  All these nutrients including amino acids, major and trace minerals, vitamins and other nutritional factors can be supplied by the feeding of good quality roughage and Sweet Minerals.

Besides contributing a source of highly available minerals, Sweet Minerals also have the ability to act on many of the cruder nutrients present in the roughage and feeds in the daily diet making them absorbable by complexing, refining, purifying and combining them into organic, ionic forms that are easily transported into and through membranes and cell walls melding nutrients to become bioactive and bio available. Sweet Minerals have the ability to do this because they contain Fulvic Acid a substance that has been described as one of the most important natural miracles related to life itself.  It is an acid created in extremely small amounts by millions of beneficial microbes working on decaying plant matter. As Fulvic acid has a low molecular weight (small molecules) it has the ability to readily dissolve and bond minerals and nutritional elements into its molecular structure. Nutrients that have been chelated by Fulvic acid are in an ideal natural form to interact with and be absorbed by living cells.  Fulvic Acid is so powerful that one single Fulvic acid molecule is capable of carrying 60 or more minerals and trace elements into the cells.

Sweet Minerals has, in addition to a variety of free radical scavengers (Vitamin A, C, E, Gamma-Linoleic Acid, L-Cysteine, L-Glutathione, Selenium etc) that selectively reduce oxidative effects, a really super bi-directional antioxidant that if it encounters free radicals with unpaired positive electrons, it supplies an equal and opposite negative charge to neutralize the bad effects of the free radicals. Likewise, if the free radicals carry a negative charge, it can supply positive unpaired electrons to nullify that charge.

Sweet Minerals also have ability to detoxify and remove heavy metals and body toxins from the system. They stimulate white blood cells to promote healing; turn inorganic calcium into an organic bioactive cellular regenerative medium conducive to new bone and hoof growth. Sweet Minerals stimulate cellular growth, regeneration and fecundity.

Feeding Sweet Minerals improves enzymatic reactions in cells and produces maximum stimulation of enzyme development. An enzyme is a catalyst that does not enter into a reaction but speeds up or causes a reaction to take place.  Enzymes are complex proteins.  Enzymes are the life force behind vitamins and minerals.  Without enzyme activation in the stomach and small intestines, food putrefies. At the cellular level, the burning of glucose in cells for instance, requires the action of several enzymes, each working on the substrate of the previous reaction.  Each cell of the body, when properly nourished, is capable of producing the enzymes needed for complete metabolism

Finally it is worth noting that Sweet Minerals extend the time nutrients remain active and potentiate the availability of essential nutrients. They increase the metabolism of proteins, contributing to DNA and RNA synthesis. They are a natural electrolyte restoring electrochemical balance and when fed as directed will first rebuild and then maintain a good immune system.

Answers to frequent questions.

Sweet Minerals need be the only source of extra Minerals & Vitamins in the daily diet

A coarse mixture or compound nut can be fed in a diet containing Sweet Minerals if straights are not available the mineral portion added to such feeds will do no harm but are not necessary

Sweet Minerals enhances the ability of the horse to reflect its nutrient intake. If extra weight or condition is required then Sweet Minerals will help utilise the feeding of extra calories. If no extra weight is required then the sparing effect of Sweet Minerals will help the horse remain healthy with a good immune system whilst fed slightly marginally diet.

The polysaccharides present in Sweet Minerals are marine carbohydrates (alginates) and not the same as present in cereals and land grown feeds.  They are in no way “heating” instead they are a prime source of nutrients to bowel bacteria and have a stimulating effect on the immune system.

The Kelp included in Sweet Minerals is derived from the uncontaminated nutrient rich seas north of the Arctic Circle.

The name Sweet Minerals is due to the fact that they lack the harsh metallic smell and taste of usual horse and livestock minerals and from the fact that traditionally the grass growing in alluvium and by the seashore was know as Sweet pastures.

Sweet Minerals are excellent for horses with poor hooves and can maintain the quality of hoof in the most susceptible horse at the 3 Spoons per day.  They can also be fed for remedial hoof repair or for extra healing a special foot formula additive can be included.

Sweet Minerals can have extra added a popular formula is Sweet Minerals with Glucosamine, MSM or Scratches.

The glossy appearance and silky texture that many horses develop when fed Sweet Minerals for a length of time is not necessarily due to one particular ingredient but more to the whole of the ingredients of Sweet Minerals the sum of which total more than the sum of the individual parts.
