To help support optimum respiratory function in the otherwise healthy horse. For feeding to horses that are suffer Heaves - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD ) to help maintain a reasonable quality of life.
NB - The major lesions in the lungs of horses suffering from COPD are bronchiolitic with emphysema occurring in small areas. In all cases of diagnosed COPD ventilation should be good and sensitising substances such as mouldy hay and dusty bedding should be avoided thus reducing cough and respiratory rate. Zephyrex PD contains substantial levels of Eugenol in Ocimum sanctum ext which besides its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties helps increase the horse's tolerance to physical and emotional stress.
Amongst others Zephyrex also contains the herb Solanum xanthocarpum
