Trikatu

Provides a natural and safe digestive, carminative and anti-flatulent and is effective in dyspepsia and for helping to correct gastric malfunction especially when associated with gaseous distension. Trikatu is mixed preparation of equal parts of Piper Longum, Piper nigrum and Zingiber officinalis and is an essential part of many formula as it increases bioavailability either by promoting the rapid absorption from the gastrointestinal tract or by protecting the formula from being metabolised or oxidised in its first passage through the liver after being absorbed, or by a combination of these two mechanisms. Trikatu is not only helpful in the treatment of gastric and abdominal disorders it also promotes the secretion of digestive juices, restores impaired appetite and helps  in the relief of asthma, bronchitis and dysentery.
