Cultivated in China and Vietnam as a medicinal plant. The swollen roots, containing different essential oils, used dried as a universal remedy. One of the most important drugs of Chinese medicine (cardiac, analgetic, antipyretic, dermatologic, emmenagogue).
 

Dong Quai is a Chinese Herb used in cases of  blood deficiency or blood deficiency with chronic wind-damp painful obstruction. It works by strengthening, stimulating and harmonizing the blood.
